Retrieves file metadata.

CreationTimeVariable

Time the file was created. The value is stored in the specified variable.

DirectoryVariable

Directory containing the file. The value is stored in the specified variable.

ExtensionVariable

The file extension. Includes the . character in the extension. The value is stored in the specified variable.

FullyQualifiedNameVariable

The fully-qualified name of the file. The value is stored in the specified variable.

ModifiedTimeVariable

The last time the file was modified. The value is stored in the specified variable.

NameVariable

The name of the file. Contains the extension, does not contain any directory information. The value is stored in the specified variable.

NameWithoutExtensionVariable

The name of the file without the extension or any directory information. The value is stored in the specified variable.

PathType

The method of specifying the directory to search. Available options are Direct, Variable, and Connection.

When specifying the PathType property via expressions, the following enumerated values are used:

PathValue

The PathValue depends upon the options selected for the PathType property

  • Direct - A string literal representation of the folder (e.g. C:\DataDir)
  • Variable - The name of the variable which holds the location of the directory to search. (e.g. User::ProcessDir)
  • Connection - The name of the connection manager which will specify the location of the directory.
The table below illustrates the property values for a file named C:\TempDir\MyFile.txt.

The user executing the package must have sufficient permissions to read the file in order to retrieve the metadata.
