Find files in a specified directory using search options similar to SQL.

PathType

The method of specifying the directory to search. Available options are Direct, Variable, and Connection.

When specifying the PathType property via expressions, the following enumerated values are used:

PathValue

The PathValue depends upon the options selected for the PathType property

  • Direct - A string literal representation of the folder (e.g. C:\DataDir)
  • Variable - The name of the variable which holds the location of the directory to search. (e.g. User::ProcessDir)
  • Connection - The name of the connection manager which will specify the location of the directory.

SearchPattern

The wilcard search expression to be used to retrieve files. The wildcard character is: *.

IncludeSubfolders

Option to specify whether to search subfolders.

  • True - Search subfolders.
  • False - Do not include subfolders in search.

SortField

Property for returning files in sorted order. Defaults to Name (Asc).

  • Name (Asc) - Sort by the filename (including extension) in ascending order
  • Name (Desc) - Sort by the filename (including extension) in descending order
  • Date created (Asc) - Sort by the file creation time in ascending order
  • Date created (Desc) - Sort by the file creation time descending order
  • Date modified (Asc) - Sort by the file modification time in ascending order
  • Date modified (Desc) - Sort by the file modification time in descending order

SelectAll

Option for returning all matched files or only a portion.

  • True - Return all matched files.
  • False - Limit the number of matched files that are returned.

SelectLimit

Required when the SelectAll property is False. The maximum number of files to return in the iterator. Ignored when SelectAll propertiy is True.

SelectOffset

Required when the SelectAll property is False. The number of files to skip before returning files. Ignored when SelectAll property is True.

As with SQL, the SelectLimit and SelectOffet options are evaluated after sorting.
